Curated by Yue Yu

Artist:
Erno Enkenberg

Erno’s paintings are often inspired by the people and events he encounters in his life and travels. With his precise and cool brushwork, he explores the relationships between people, turning everyday narratives into stage-like scenes.

This is Erno’s first exhibition in China, spanning ten years of creation. It presents his journey from early paper models to digital models built with 3D software, combining subtle storytelling with a meticulous handling of space and light.

By simulating miniature scenes from theater or film, his paintings hover between reality and fiction, leaving a lingering sense of mystery in the viewer’s mind, inviting them to peer behind the curtain. In these tranquil scenes, every silhouette, every shaft of light seems to whisper, encouraging viewers to feel the subtle and complex relationships between people.
